Dichotomous Key: Used to classify organisms; Series of dichotomous questions with only two possible answers; no overlapping between two answers
CLASS ACTIVITY:
What kind of ball do I have?: The class will work together to figure out what kind of ball is in the container by asking Dichotomous questions. We can assume that we know everything there is to know about all the sports, except what the ball looks like. A list of sports/games that use balls will be displayed and grouped as the class narrows down the list.
INDIVIDUAL ACTIVITY:
Provide students with a variety of pictures and get them to separate them by asking a series of dichotomous questions until each picture is in a group by itself.
